I am Rashad Javed,Chairman of Hope Development Organization. Blessings in the Name of Jesus ourLord and Savior. I would like to tell you a few things about myself. I was bornon September 14, 1972 in Pakistan. I suffered personal tragedies at an early age. Butbecause the Hand of God was upon me, a priest took me under his wing and gaveme love and hope for life. I was educated, and when I grew to an adult, I tooka job on a commercial ship. I traveled all around the world to many places andsaw many kinds of people. I saw the hardships that people suffered, and myheart went out to them.
After I acceptedJesus as my Savior I knew that I had to help all the needy people that I could, those in need of love, food, shelter, and necessities of life.....but mostlylove and hope. Jesus called me to this ministry. He helped others, and Hetaught us to do so also. Since then, I and seven friends started HDO, a NonGovernmental Organization, (NGO) running by Christian administration. Westarted small, and are growing daily. I give all the glory to God for theblessings of this NGO. He has helped HDO thru donations, which people havegiven to help, feed the hungry, give basic medical treatment to the injured, but mostly to spread love through giving and caring. We have been successful inhelping with national disasters and calamities in our immediate area and alsoin some distant places.
Pakistan is my home and I want to help my fellow countrymen, justas I want to help all people of the world. Since I grew up in this country I amfamiliar with the problems my people face every day. I want them to know thatthere is hope and somebody who cares. I preach and teach my belief in caring, according to God’s Word, the Holy Bible. I want HDO to grow and help all peopleof all races, cultures, and backgrounds. There can be no greater gift, in myopinion, than helping to stop the tears of need and despair! To give someonethe help they need when they think that all hope is lost—this has been one ofthe most rewarding and biggest blessings in my life.
Jesus said inMatthew 25:35-40 (NIV),
"I washungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave mesomething to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothesand you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and youcame to visit me."
"Then therighteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, orthirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger andinvite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or inprison and go to visit you?’
"The Kingwill reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least ofthese brothers of mine, you did for me.’"
This is, to me,the most basic and important thing in life, except for knowing Jesus as my personalSavior. This is the example of Love that Jesus wanted us to show eachother—friends and enemies alike. One of the Ten Commandments says, "Lovethy neighbor as thyself." If we all treat our closest neighbor as ourbrother and care for them as we would our own brother, then each home on eachstreet would be a neighbor to another, then each street a neighbor to another, each city a neighbor to another, each country a neighbor to another. Then willthis world we live in be much more like Heaven to everyone. Just as Jesus lovedeach of us, we need to love, help, and teach each other. This is my mission—forme, my family, and HDO!
I hope this has been an inspiration to you.Jesus made all the difference in my life. I want to help all people—Christians,Muslims, and any other religions. I want them to see the Love of The Lord JesusChrist in my life, as I give it freely to everyone. This is what HDO stands forand believes in. All praise and glory to our Father in Heaven
