Christmas Eve, 2010

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

What a privilege it has been in this last year, to get to know you, some from a distance and many face to face and shoulder to shoulder.  God has truly invited us to be part of something so much greater than ourselves and greater than our small organization Global Peace Partners.

The older I get the more passionately I feel that Jesus did not come to bring a new religion, but rather came  to restore the broken relationship with our Creator that was destroyed by the first generation, indeed the first family of the human race.

A few months ago a lady from Washington State called me and asked:  Dan, what is peace?   What a profound question.   At the bottom end of the spectrum is the absence of war.  As far as I can tell there are over 30 major conflicts occurring globally.  For any of these regions, this absence of war would be a welcome relief.  At the top end of the spectrum is a peace that surpasses all understanding, this peace is a gift and will never be gained by human achievement and is the request that Jesus petitions the Father in His last prayer before He dies:  That they may be one, as I and the Father are one!

If we are truly called to work on the task of reconciliation (2 Cor. 18-20) then we must be willing to work and build relationships with people at any place on this vast spectrum that God places us to walk with. What is amazing to me is that once this starts happening, the umbrellas that we typically judge people by, the religious names, the nationalities, the politics, disappear and we have the privilege of walking with another man, a man indeed created in the Image of God.

As we walk in humility, in love and in reverence for another human being, we will continually be amazed at the miracles we will see happening in and through the relationships being developed.  I believe this single concept is what has generated the intense interest in our work and has moved the aerospace community to want to work with us.

A month ago I wrote a letter to Physicians:

On November 9th, I signed a document on behalf of Global Peace Partners, to move ahead with Pacific Aerospace and three additional aerospace industries to build  a teaching surgical hospital aboard a 747 wide bodied jet.  When this plane is not serving disaster areas it will be serving in areas around the world that need additional surgical services.  A 757 (supply/transport plane) will keep the hospital supplied with, medical supplies, food, and staff.

Though the plane will serve in any given area for 2 - 6 weeks, it will open the door as a conduit to continue working with, supporting and projecting the question that is closest to my heart "how can we work together.....?

There is a disease, a sickness, a cancer that is more malignant than what we face in hospitals in any given area around the world.  This one threatens life on this planet as surely as a nuclear fallout.  As it is less dramatic it has worked slowly but very corrosively to etch its path into every segment of society.  This malignancy is simply broken relationships.  So I ask you as a physician that has given your life to healing, to work with me as we strive to heal the body, let's work together to heal a hurting nation and a threatened world in a concerted effort that your children and my children might inherit a safe sane world.

This is the message I believe we are given to invite peoples anywhere in the world to be part of.  It is not complex; it is simply a message to a broken hurting world to return to a relationship with our Creator and through that with each other.  Jesus of Nazareth gave his life for this, can we do less?

I thank God for each of you,

Daniel E. Moody

A World at Risk A Bold Response – Dan Moody

On November 2, 2009 I received this email from a close friend in Pakistan:

Today two bomb blast happen here. In two different places. I was present on one. And I was lucky I reach there after 10 minutes with Dr. matoo. And I saw human body parts on road. I never understand what wrong we did. Why innocent people get target. More then 50 people die there. Mean 50 families destroy. Their families and kids where crying for them there. My , mind, body and soul is really hurt bad.

I could not do any thing for them and I complain I work for peace.

I don’t know what to say more. Bye

Terrorism is Growing

They do not need their own media

They have a platform the world grabs

Splashed across the Headlines

Rip Corker Fuel for FOX, CNN, NBC, CBS…………

Reuters, the Times of NY the Times of London, Tokyo, Moscow, Beijing……………

They ignite excitement in poverty stricken, ill educated pockets among the youth who do not see anything better to live for except to crush the Western World with its evils of

Pornography

Males getting married to males

Our babies aborted

Shootings on the street, in the malls, in the schools, on our military bases

Peoples that have lost their moral compass

In the Eastern world these pockets of poverty and lack of education or misguided education attracts what we know as terrorists

In the Western world this attracts those we know as gangs

These people can see a nation that does not allow its highest values and principles to be taught in public schools and a nation’s public school systems that cannot acknowledge the foundations of faith our founders stood on

But they do not see

These characteristics do not represent Americans

They are the few

But they too are emboldened by the publicity they attract

So in effect the media becomes the spokes tool to broadcast

All that is wrong in the world

This creates its own excitement as perverted as that might be

It is our desire to uplift and acknowledge what is good, what is right that which will sustain the human race around the world, acknowledging that we are all part of God’s creation and in that sense respect our neighbor globally, across political, racial, religious, cultural, and national boundaries and seek peaceful solutions to complex problems, problems that have divided us for two long - Seeking redemptive solutions for ALL

Biblical Principals

1. All men are created in the Image of God (makes no difference if they know that or not)

2. Every man was deemed important enough for Jesus to die for (knowing that or not knowing that does not change the fact)

In the 4th Chapter of John Jesus walks into “forbidden Territory” a land alienated from the Jews for 7 centuries, He sits at the well and as a women, living with her sixth man, after having 5 husbands, approaches He, The Creator of the Universe, the Creator of the Women, the Creator of the Water and the man that turned water to wine says: “Can you draw water for me” In the Moody translation He is saying “I need your help” Wow can you imagine what would happen if we treat our adversaries this way????

We always think everyone else needs what we have – whether it is religion or culture or politics

Hey we have almost started a new cold war with democrats hating republicans and republicans hating democrats – when in fact we are one nation but a nation whose individuals have walked in different shoes – lets look across the fence and acknowledge the needs our neighbor has!

Paul gives us a new model:

2Co 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

When did a servant ever tell his master what to do??

Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

When our Church Corporations turn the pyramid of power upside down and we become a people of servanthood we will see the world change

Who would not want to be treated like a king and a priest

Who would not want to feel embraced by the King of King and Lord of Lords

We live in a lot of uncertainties

Uncertain about the national debt

Uncertain about who is going to make the next car with failed brakes or a faulty accelerator

Uncertain about how Haiti can be restored and lifted above generations of poverty

Uncertain about where the Next Hurricane will hit, how big, how bad

Where the next mudslides will undermine homes – in California or the South Pacific??

Uncertain how the next tornado season will be

Uncertain whether our farms will see enough but not too much rain to sustain our crops

Uncertain if our meat markets are adequately protected against disease

Uncertain if the war in the Mideast will escalate or diffuse

Uncertain about North Korea, ……………

Uncertain where the next terrorist will attack…

Above all this there is One Certainty

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

If we start living for that day

If we start living for that promise

If we start believing

That in truth

Is 60:3 Nations shall come to Thy Light, and Kings to the brightness of Thy Rising!

Then in that truth we know full well that we as your servants for Jesus sake: posses one great certainty, we will indeed experience something of that great promise when

The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen

And we can be a part of this ………… God Bless…………

Posted by Global Peace Partners on February 7, 2010 at 4:22 AM Comments comments (1)

In 2007 Andrew founded the B-Gifted Foundation through the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs in Sierra Leone, West Africa. B-Gifted Foundation is a non profit Organization that uses creativity and technology to address human rights (including women and children's rights), environmental rights, enhance peace and sustainable development in Sierra Leone, whilst seeking to alleviate poverty through creative approaches. It was founded by a McGill University Sauvé Scholar, Andrew Benson Greene, Jr., for the purpose of helping the people of Sierra Leone rebuild their lives and establish a society based on nonviolent cooperation, following a decade of war and violence.

Greene's program gives hope to the people for a future of sustainable development and human dignity by promoting friendship, peace, and collaboration." Our efforts in achieving this involves promoting social justice legislature, conducting non-violence workshops for people in Sierra Leone and other countries, organizing peace clubs in Schools, engaging women and young people in technology for global interaction and education, creativity and arts that foster peace, human rights and social justice.

Andrew Benson Greene represents Global Peace Partners, Inc., in West Africa.  Global Peace Partners is an offshoot of The Moody Group, LLC in Northern Lancaster County PA. and was founded to spread and further the Love of God, expressed in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, through, but not limited to, publishing, education, prison ministries, mission through the U.S., Canada, and abroad, with the intent to develop reconciling relationships and the alleviation of human suffering through charitable, relational, and recreational programs.

Global Peace Partners will, as well, aid existing peace and reconciliation initiatives by other individuals and organizations.

Global Peace Partners will also play an active role in reaching out with respect to Individuals, Organizations, and Nations who may not share the same religion, the same race, the same nationality, the same politics and the same culture or traditions, in an effort to seek peaceful solutions in complex situations in order to ease global tensions. This is always to be done with utmost respect.

Global Peace Partners has some unique approaches to the world scene and Dan Moody, CEO of both the Moody Group, and Global Peace Partners, is available to speak to Churches and other Organizations about the work and the vision.

Global Peace Partners Inc., Launched by The Moody Group, LLC, announced by Dan Moody

To members of Christian Professionals

Said corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code for the purpose of:

The purpose of this corporation shall be to spread and further the Love of God, expressed in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, through, but not limited to, publishing, education, medical assistance, prison ministries, mission through the U.S., Canada, and abroad, with the intent to develop reconciling relationships and the alleviation of human suffering through charitable, relational, and recreational programs.

This Corporation will, as well, aid existing peace and reconciliation initiatives by other individuals and organizations.

Global Peace Partners will play an active role in reaching out with respect to Individuals, Organizations, and Nations who may not share the same religion, the same race, the same nationality, the same politics and the same culture or traditions, in an effort to seek peaceful solutions in complex situations in order to ease global tensions. This is always to be done with utmost respect of all parties.

There is a great need to reach beyond our comfort zones and natural borders to give recognition, support and encouragement to people around the world that are honestly trying to do their part to meet some of the monstrous needs of our day. Since moving into the global arena, we have been blessed by people like Rashad Javed, Chairman of Hope Development Organization, a believer in Pakistan, with a big heart and a huge vision. His work is winning the hearts of Youth and now more than any time needs blessings and encouragement in a mustard seed conspiracy against the rising war and violence.

Darlington Onwukwe, a young man in Nigeria, is working to start an NGO that focuses on integrity and honesty in one of the most corrupt nations in the world.

Seeds of Peace brings together Youth from opposite sides of conflict around the world and breaching years of violence and hostility trains them to return to their nations as young leaders for peace. Help me put together a truck load of food for their summer camp in Maine that will offer substantial meals to replace much of the peanut butter/bread that they have been eating now. I could go on and on………….!

A fast response to global disaster has been dug out of the woodwork, the blueprint made after the big Mozambique flood in the 90’s when the world response was so sluggish and being refined so that teams could be enroute anywhere in the world within an hour.

The vision has been blessed by interest from around the world especially as we seek a model of Servant Leadership, the corporate pyramid turned upside down, the goal of all participants to love one another as Jesus loved us. Jesus prayed in his last prayer: “may they all be one as I and the father are one, That the world might know…………..

Is it possible that 2000 years later a group of people can feel the depth of this love to Jesus so deeply that it spills over to each other and on to people around the world, stripping the corporate concept of leadership as being the pinnacle of power?

Blessings,

Dan Moody
